Operational Status Of Electric Heavy-Duty Trucks in Cooperation Between Optimumnano And Dongfeng

Compared to diesel heavy-duty trucks, battery-swapping heavy-duty trucks offer two core advantages: environmental protection and cost reduction. Heavy-duty trucks generally have a longer daily operating mileage and almost require continuous operation for 24 hours. Compared to other commercial vehicle sectors, new energy heavy-duty trucks have already achieved economic viability, with the economic benefits of battery-swapping trucks becoming evident.

Recently, 100 tractor-trailers equipped with OptimumNano battery-swapping heavy-duty truck products have been in actual operation in the Xinjiang region, primarily using 295 kWh lithium iron phosphate batteries.

Based on the actual daily working time of 22 hours per heavy-duty truck and 28 days of operation per month, a data comparison shows that the monthly energy consumption cost for a diesel heavy-duty truck is nearly 84,400 yuan, while the monthly energy consumption cost for a battery-swapping heavy-duty truck is only 19,500 yuan. The electric truck saves approximately 64,900 yuan in power costs per month compared to the diesel truck!

Therefore, using battery-swapping heavy-duty trucks for a year, if the working time exceeds 11 months, saves nearly 713,900 yuan in power costs compared to diesel heavy-duty trucks! Battery-swapping heavy-duty trucks, replacing oil with electricity, are both green and economical.
